As the Case Management Task Force (CMTF) of the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action, it is our role to provide technical guidance and develop case management tools and resources to strengthen services and systems of care in humanitarian settings.
One of the most important resources is the Inter-agency Guidelines for Case Management and Child Protection. It describes what case management is and provides step-by-step guidance on approaching child protection cases in humanitarian situations.
Alongside the case management guidelines, the Guidelines on Assessing and Determining the Best Interests of the Child is a valuable resource when working with refugee children, or in other humanitarian situations that require difficult and long-term decisions for children.
